Those bastions of high learning care only that the agenda is moved forward, by any means necessary.

Having said that, it fascinates me that this is getting such national attention. As a person living just north of the People's Republic of Boulder, this is par for the course around here. The whole town is infested with people who think this way. Unfortunately, it's as normal here as pick-up trucks in Texas.
This statement says a lot about our Universities. In effect, they are saying that normal scholarship requirments--original, rigorous, accurate publications--are not really relevant in ethnic studies departments. By and large I believe that is true as those departments have little to do academics. They are (1) a way to get high grades to affirmative action students to conceal the disparity between them and non-affirmative action students; (2) a way to provide incomes for radical leftists to spread their vicious doctrine; and (3) A way to radicalize minority students to make sure they don't leave the plantation.
What fools we have running our universities! Fire Churchill and close down the Ethnic Studies department, which is academically as big a fraud as Churchill.

Universities all over America are coming under the microscope. They have been a festering sore in the country for a long time and it's well past time for a house cleaning.
Churchill claims to be an American Indian - there is no documentation to date to substantiate this.

1. He had an MA from somewhere.
2. He said he was a suffering minority.

What more could a Dean of Faculty at CU-Bewildered be expected to ask of anyone?
It should be a fairly trivial matter for the University of Colorado to fire Ward Churchill ~ after all, Indiana University fired Bobby Knight on no more complaint than that the English department didn't care for the man.
