"The extremists continue to plot to attack again. They are at this moment recalibrating and reorganizing. And so are we," the Pentagon chief told members of the House Armed Services Committee in prepared testimony. Offering his argument for President Bush's request for $419 billion in defense spending for fiscal 2006, Rumsfeld said the plan sets an ambitious course to "continue prosecuting the war and to attack its ideological underpinnings."

"Well, let's face it. Most Americans are stupid and complacent."
At least 61,000,000 seem to get it though.

Yes, but I find it shocking that 48% of this country sees it the other way. How can that be?

I'm not sure if the Almighty himself could answer that question. Heck, my Dad, a 23 year retired Air Force vet, is a staunch DemonRat. I think he and other DemonRats in his age group still think the DemonRatic Party is still the same party it was 50 years ago (a decent, if somewhat misguided party back then).
As for young liberals, my theory is simply that the perversions spewed from hollyweird and the music industry has polluted their reasoning skills beyond repair.

Well, color me an a**hole, but if you are stupid enough to get your politics from the Dixie Chics and George Clooney, then you are too stupid to vote.

1) Kabul
2) Baghdad
3) Damascus
4) Tehran
5) Riyhad
6) Mecca
The spelling may not be right, but if I'd had my way, it would not matter.

Of course they are planning further attacks. And with our wide open borders it won't be difficult to gain entry into our country. Right you are. But evidently some things are more important than national security to certain pols.

Did anyone else see that awesome moment in the congressional testimony when that rep from California--can't place her name, she was the one most visible in the "Playboy mansion fundraiser" deal--tried to show up Rummy and he swatted her down by making her read the date of her data? Hers was from December 20, his Feb. 14.
Of course, I only saw it on FOX. Just a coincidence the other networks didn't show it.

No, because we allow just about anyone over the age of 18 to vote. We don't require an intelligence test.
