The Jeff Gannon story is still bouncing around the Internet, and now there are pictures.
The kind you shouldn't open up in the office.
The X-rated twist has made for a lot of clandestine clicking in a town where Deep Throat conjures images not of a porn star but of a man in a parking garage. But it has also deepened the debate over blogging and the tactics used to drive a conservative reporter from his job as White House correspondent for two Web sites owned by a Republican activist.
In most Beltway melodramas, the resignation ends the story. The problem for Gannon, whose real name is James Dale Guckert, is that he told The Washington Post and CNN's Wolf Blitzer last week that he never launched the Web sites whose provocative names he had registered, such as hotmilitarystud.com. But a Web designer in California said yesterday that he had designed a gay escort site for Gannon and had posted naked pictures of Gannon at the client's request.

If this Gannon were a reporter working for a liberal blog and was outed using a pseudonym, gay and in the porn and prostitution business the MSM may have been silent but the Right leaning media would be headlining the story. Gannon is done and good riddance!

I did not not see him listed as a reporter that was ordered to testify about the Plame affair..The lefty blogs are all a twitter about Plame..trying make the story important.

I was thinking the same thing, but it really doesn't have to be an accreditied reporter. It could be anyone at FR. If they get enough dirt on someone, they're willing to pull out all the stops to completely destroy that person's life. OK, yeah, Gannon might have been a sick, pervert. But the next person they destory could be your best friend.

plus, he practically egged on these reporters by giving interviews denying any involvement with the homosexual websites... although, I somehow recall hearing that lying about sex is "no big deal"...

The WA PA has had many stories about Steffen/O'Malley...ignored Eason Jordan.Gannon looks really bad in all this..but the sin he first committed was being conservative so the left found personal dirt to air..
It may be uncomfortable for those of us who supported him...but this is a mere bump in the road.
I fear the left pinning hope of big scandal to the White House is not going to work out to be this one...try as they may.
As the dems remind us..It was only about sex...
