Iranians are different people from Arabs. Maghreb Arabs have a bad reputation for being lazy and slovenly in Europe while Iranians are regarded the immigrant elite. Smart, ambitious, well educated.

Iranians and Indians are blood cousins. That's what I am aware of. Only difference being Islam managed to convert the entire Iranian lot, and failed to do so in India.

Indo-European languages include English, the languages of mainland Europe, Persian, and the languages of India.

But I must admit, the whole theory seems made up. Are you aware of this theory too?

Iranians are fairly light skinned with european features. Many have light hair, and eyes and their facial features are different than surrounding countries.

The same description fits a large percentage of Indians too.

What I was trying to get to was if there was any truth in the Aryan theory, which basically says that Indians and Iranians were originally from the Caucasus region of Europe, who migrated into southern Asia. Since I have some proficiency in Hindi and Sanskrit, I can tell you from interactions with a few Iranians that a lot of the words in Parsi(Persian) and Sanskrit sound alike and have the same meaning. But the entire theory seems a bit far-fetched.

For gosh sakes, why the hang up on skin tone? Some people in India are pretty light, some in Iran are pretty dark, but really who gives a frig?

Besides, it's really hard to get a tan under the hijab.

My Observation:

The few Iranians (who are Americans now) I have met over the years; are proud of their IRANIAN heritage and very glad to live in America. No mention or discussion of Arabization has ever occurred.

"For gosh sakes, why the hang up on skin tone?"

No kidding. Reminds me of the Sat. Night Live skit where Vernon Jordon asserts to the darker Garrett Morris that lighter skinned blacks are smarter than the darker.....much to Mr. Morris's dismay and consternation.

Sothern Indians are, since they belong to indeginous pre-Aryan Dravidic tribes. Northern Indians are light skinned. The Gandhi clan is a fair example of Aryans.
