It's probably just a temporary cached or corrupt file glitch but I would hit ctrl-alt-delete and select "Taskmanager" and then select the "Processes" tab and see what's loaded/running in memory. If you can't identify everything on there then you can google the name of the file/program and see if it's okay and if it's not then you can usually find instructions on how to delete it.

Some anti-virus progs are better at picking up stuff than others. I kept having some weird problems and I d/l the AVG Free edition and it found some things nothing else did and I haven't had any problems since (knock wood). Hope this helps and good luck!

AVG Free link

Thank you VERY much for that AVG link. My free antivirus software is expiring (becoming for-fee) and I needed another one. I had saved your data about AVG and it proved extremely timely. I've installed it and it's a better program than the one I had.

I should think it would be in the best interests of all companies that produce software to install or bundle such a product free, since the more PC's that have this up and running worldwide, the less damage virii can cause. Kind of like vaccinating a population against smallpox.

All you friends of Ayn, I do not normally make a plea for a product to be free, so please don't take the time to assault me for being a *whatever* on the subject. This is an aberrative stand rooted in a public "safety" issue, so to speak. A lot of people who have computers aren't techie enough to take care of this.
