His best bet is to stay single. A man can have a girlfriend, or a 'constant companion', and it's not a matter of public record when the break-up happens. I'm sure it's extremely hard to be in the spotlight like Rush and field a marriage at home. I think divorce #3 would prove that to me, and I'd avoid it like the plague, at least until I retired.
I wonder about that. With courts the way they are today, I'd say someone in Rush's position is better off with a marriage and a pre-nup agreement than he would be in an undocumented relationship [and no, I'm not trying to introduce immigration reform in this thread :) ]. We joke from time to time about two people having their lawyers negotiate their first date but sometimes that's not too far from the truth.
He has repeatedly said he does not ever want children and it is beyond me what possible benefit it would be to him to ever have married.
