"Definately time for a school assembly to warn the school kids about inappropriate advances by teachers and to report it if it happens.
"

Don't rely on the schools to do this. Every parent has a duty to inform children of this risk, and to tell them to report any such advances immediately to their parents first, then school officials.

You are correct. Being approached while in high school by my wrestling coach, I was fortunate enough to have excellent parents. I told them what this teacher was saying to me. We approached the school board as well as the superintendent. They all laughed at us. This was my freshman year. We moved away, then returned for my senior year. The teacher was transfered to another school, AFTER he molested 2 other boys. Everything was kept hush hush and was allowed to work elsewhere, WITH CHILDREN.

No, do not rely upon the school, at times, they act like co-conspirator's.
