I believe that in Federal Court Rules there are provisions for sanctions including money. Any U.S. lawyer who signs off on this lawsuit should be hit with sanctions by the Court itself ASAP.

It is true that sanctions can be imposed. It is also true that, in most contractual litigation there is almost always a clause that provides for recouping of 'Cost of suit and other judgment as the Court may deem appropriate'.

The problem is, the Courts rarely if ever enforce these clauses or the clauses themselves ignore large parts of the real costs of litigation in a frivolous suit. There is a sort of comradeship between the Courts and attorneys and it all too often prevails over the rights of, and fairness to, the litigants.
