I will say this to anyone, and I know it's easier said than done, but you have to network so that basically you can get a job without having to interview. I do presentations for local user groups, and I have gotten several job offers based on doing those presentations alone. Get a blog, and start writing about unique technical skills that you have, this is the way to go.

Exactly. It's advice no one wants to hear, but 95% of the best jobs will never be publicly advertised, because they are created on the spot when a hiring manager meets someone perfect for his or her team. Jobs found in the newspaper or online are the dregs that were unfillable internally or through the hiring manager's networking contacts...and who wants to work at a job like that, anyway?
