Jeff has already adequately explained those website registrations. See the Wolf Blitzer transcript from last week for a succinct description of the "issue" and the truth behind it.

Right. Let them go after Corporals, while we line up the Generals.

We got bigger fish to fry.

And the grease is just warmin' up.

Really, though, this is a bonanza for them because they can't find any dirt on the Republican leaders, so they're going to try to destroy this man's life as a consolation prize. Sorry, Jeff/James.

As best I can tell they are pursuing the gay angle.

So...they're going after him for being gay. Aren't they, you know, the Left?

It is my understanding that Gannon/Guckert worked for a company registering domain names. He registered these sites as a condition of his employment; however, the sites were never created.

Many at DU also believe that George H.W. Bush was involved in the assaination of John F. Kennedy, amongst many other tin-foil hat conspiracy theories. I think many of the folks at DU are paranoid schizophrenics who have stopped taking their meds.

I've been follwoing several on their threads on this. I have yet to figure ut what they thik the big deal is. They may pull Gannon down, but I simply fail to see how this reflects of President Bush in any way.

Somebody help me out here. What, exactly, are they thinking?

You gotta grasp the straws if that's all you got. It's like kicking a puppy.

I believe it was that brilliant mind, the master of phraseology, Juan Williams who stated that President Bush is purposefully planting softball throwers in the WH press corps. He feels the President can't handle the barrage of tough questions.

Until last week, I had never heard of Jeff Gannon. I had never visited Talon News, nor gopusa.com, nor did I know anyone else who had. I never even ran across a blogger link to a story from either of those sites.

If the Left considers toppling Gannon to be a huge victory, it reveals how rare victories have been for their side. Even more depressing, the main reason he resigned was because of his exposed link to gay Web sites. Halcyon days for the party of tolerance.

It's the hypocrisy angle. Never quite get why people are befuddled by that. Guckert has written a lot of articles in opposition to Gay rights.

Hypothetically, if it was revealed that, say, Congressman Tom Tancredo employed an illegal immigrant maid, it would be a far bigger deal than if it was revealed that, say, Cynthia McKinney employed an illegal immigrant maid.

Why should they worry about the facts, as if it's really all that important. Nowadays, all they have to do is make an accusation, with out back up, and the MSM takes off with it.

Like they're tolerant about free speech. It doesn't seem to work both ways.

The funny thing is the emphasis the left is applying to this story. The Right bloggers bring down Eason (an incredible feat), and the left are all enthused that they managed to take down Jeff Gannon.

The silliness has warranted some rather amusing responses from the Right Bloggers, like this (Ace of Spades) and this (Beautiful Atrocities). Funny stuff.
