The dirty little secret is that most Croats I suspect have psychologically jettisoned the Balkans, as a mind set. They desperately want out, and into the EU. Sanity is creeping in, in some places. What we have here is an outlier, I suspect.

Sanader is hot to trot to get Croatia into the EU, but the EU is telling him that it's a no-go until Gotovina has made it to Den Haag.

Should be an interesting month in Zagreb. (EU entry talks scheduled for March 18th...)
