Tony must not be spending enough time talking to George W. Isn't this the pitfall that the press tried and tried to shame the President into, only to have it rubbed in their faces? Maybe Mr. Blair doesn't want the job anymore.

Politicians are deserving of a little arrogance, IF THEY ARE GOOD AND MAKE POSITIVE THINGS HAPPEN!!! But if similar to Clinton and Carter, they get no arrogance pass...

I thought the press was supposed to wring their hands and heap criticism on themselves. Whoops--I forgot--they do, but they do it for not being arrogant enough.

Maybe Mr. Blair doesn't want the job anymore.I read something the other day about that.
Rumor is that he said something about leaving if the EU referendum failed or some such.
Sounds like he has put his job on the line. When you do that it usually means you are tired, and would like to go home.
Just a theory, not much else to back this up.

I must admit that I know zilch about the British political system--I don't even know enough about ours, --
But, what is this business about keeping the date of the election SECRET? How crazy is that? Or am I being obtuse, or not reading things right?

British politics is quite interesting. Although my politics and Blair's don't match up, I support him because of his support for the fight against terrorism. I wish the conservatives wouldn't jump on the "Blair lied" campaign. It reminds me too much of the left-wing nutcases that run around America spouting the same mess.
Anybody who studies politics should watch his speech before we went to war with Iraq. I believe it was to the House of Commons. He's probably one of the best speakers I've ever seen/heard.
