U.S. Army 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment soldiers search for insurgents in Mosul, Iraq Monday Feb. 14, 2005.

The insurgents in Mosul are the current champions in the World Series of Hide and Seek, but the times they are a changing as US Troops are waxing more competitive and scoring big.

U.S. Army 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment soldiers detain an Iraqi man while searching for insurgents in Mosul, Iraq Monday Feb. 14, 2005.

What the heck are feeding those Troops in the mess halls over there?

OR

Honey we shrunk the insurgents.

Look Ma, no hand rails!

An Iraqi Kurd waves the Kurdish flag to US troops during celebrations in the northern city of Kirkuk following the announcment of the results of the country's landmark elections. The European Union's executive arm welcomed the results of elections in Iraq but called on those elected to govern for the whole country.

Bartering is still a popular method of commerce in Iraq, but there is little interest by US Troops in trading for Iraqi flags.

Iraqi men look at a soldier of the Kilo Company 3rd Batallion Fourth Marines patrolling in downtown Fallujah, 50 kms west of Baghdad.

In respect for the big Islamic Shi'ite Holiday Ashura today, most of the boutiques in Fallujah  were closed.

A US Marine passes a wrecked building while on patrol in Fallujah.

That building is not wrecked, it is merely undergoing some renovations courtesy of the Insurgency.
