Surgeons have arrived at mall to treat wounded.........Huh?

Just guessing but it would seem appropriate in a mass casualty situation to send a trauma surgeon on scene as part of the response protocol. The severely wounded might stand a better chance of survival that way.

Scoop and run...would seem more appropiate.

A surgeon is nearly "naked" without support equipment/staff/etc...How long to set up a OR in a tent.....versus, sending the victims to the nearest ER/trauma unit?

I dunno....maybe I'm off base here.
