At no point in the sniper case did Chief Moose or anyone else from the police state the suspects were white or they were looking for white men.
This is a classic example of people misremembering facts to fit the axes they're grinding.
There were about fifty billion "experts" the various news channels were dragging on TV who were talking about the perpetrators likely being white...but these were all people unconnected with the case.

Chief Moose was told by several witnesses the shooters were black. But he REFUSED to report it. Absolutely REFUSED. I saw some of the witnesses on television moments after two of the shootings. So don't pretend that we don't remember what we clearly saw.
Actually they did. At one point it was olive skinned men. That is what had freerepublic so up in arms. If they had released what they knew and had everybody searching they might have found them quicker. Why did you think everybody thought he was such a criminal joke?

Not only did Moose at one time state they were looking for white guys...he also said they may be Vietnam vets...or have copies of gun magazines in their possession or subscribe to them..
Moose talked a whole lot of trash was basically an incompetent racist who rose to prominence thanks to affirmative action and not because of his abilities or as Martin Luther King taught 'on the content of his character' (which in Moose's case was more caricature)
Some of the cops who had to work with him even said as much...
Moose had a record of suing 'the job' for 'discrimination' it was his way of compensating for criticisms of incompetence
