Janet Decker on CNN was inside the center of the mall and heard the shots, and sounded like popping...machine gun type sounds. They ran out into the parking lot. The shooter started at Best Buy at one end of the mall and then to another store on the other side of the mall. The mall was very crowded, lots of sales going on. People were tripping over each other trying to get out.
Says there was a gang related fight last night!

and sounded like popping...machine gun type sounds. Full auto does not sound like popping.
In a mall, with the acoustics there, I would say we have a semi-auto pistol.
