Considering what happened in DC sniper case with those descriptions, I didn't think it was a bad question. But that's just me. Didn't know the PC police now considered even asking the question to be a criminal offense.

I haven't read this entire thread, but the first thing I thought of when I read about them being dressed in black was anarchists. They usually wear that color during their exploits IIRC.
The old website, Raging Bull had a great feature that would allow you to ignore posters. Times like this make me wish that feature would be applied here, with javalina.
Properly profiling perps would make it easier for the ordinary citizen to recognize them on the street, report them to the police and case closed. It would play h*ll with all that overtime pay cops count on.
Some people have a vested interest in having certain people considered to be "privileged characters", who can lash out if they imagine they have been offended...
