Where did you find 45 ACP ammunition? It hasn't been produced by American ammunition manufacturers since prior to WW2. You should use the caliber of ammunition inscribed on the barrel of your fine revolver.

What could we be thinking?!?!?

This is a Taurus Tracker...

Amazing how you can still buy reloading supplies for .45 ACP...

And Smith & Wesson has 5 whole web pages of handguns chambered for .45 ACP right here, just like this one...

Maybe you should let the Springfield Armory Custom shop know that there's no more ammo for Rob Leatham to use... After all, "His" custom gun, as sold by SA for about $3000, must not be selling... After all, you can't get ammo for it!

Or at least let John Nowlin know, since he stamped that barrel with .45 ACP... I guess he doesn't know anything about guns, or the M-1911 style, huh?

Must be hard getting ammo for them, huh?

Wow! And there even seems to be some modern performance data for such an ancient cartridge here too,

nearly 50 years after they stopped making the cartridge! It must have a pretty good shelf life!

Mark

Huh?!?! That's simply absurd.

That is just a stunningly erroneous statement.

There are of course dozens of American ammunition manufacturers producing this caliber.
It's one of THE most popular centerfire calibers.

My revolver also has .45ACP engraved on the barrel.

We get it at the local gun store, made by Federal last time I checked.
