Agreed. For some reason people get a bit excited when they've been shot at or been near a shooting.

It's a wrist brace. He probably sprained it jerking citizens around.

It would be hard, but Rambo could do it!

When you've been here for awhile, you get used to it. Agree with your post, but I have to admit I've been *guilty* a time or three myself. This is definitely a horrendous situation.

Everything about this situations smells like a conspiracy to murder people, not some fly-by-night robbery gone bad. We're looking at some real sickos.

Not all of Newburgh is ghetto.... No indeed. Newburgh is one of those beautiful old towns on the Hudson that has seen their downtown areas go down the welfare spiral: Catskill, Poughkeepsie, Troy, Hudson... but there are still wonderful areas for sure.

Just spoke with a retired cop in NY. Three perps, one down, at the Mid Hudson Valley Mall. Police cordon of area, checking cars exiting area. Poughkeepsie SWAT called in as well as NY Trooper SWAT. Mall on shut down.
Cordon at a distance. After this, unless I get a call back, I'm reliant on the TV news.

Entirely possible; I was only quoting the words of another FReeper but did not format it that way. Did not hear the description with my own ears.
To: JCRoberts
The joke is the reporting, not the incident.

(Get's off soapbox)Good.
Yes, it's a tragedy, but in the absence of updates, we're prone to commentary. You may not like what is being said, but please don't tell try to shame people into silence.
And your Caps Lock key is stuck.

Why do you hate America and why do you want to take away our guns? Just preparing for the Conservative backlash. It'll be interesting to see their take on this.On DU--they have a whole 8 posts on this subject and 6 are by the same person. Idiots.

Oh sure...remind me that I am "old". Luckily, VH 1 does those "WE LOVE THE 80's" shows so EVERYONE knows about Valley Girls now. Gag me with a Spoon.

We think it is very relevant sarcasm.
Gun control obviously does not control guns in the hands of criminals.
In fact, it has the opposite effect of that intended. If there were more CCW licenses amongst law-abiding citizens, these incidents would very likely be less frequent and less severe to innocent bystanders.
