Where are those loudmouthed Jersey Girls on this guy's statements? Rather silent, wouldn't you say?
It just goes to show that they were just political stooges. They darkened their husbands' good names by their behavior, imo.
Yeah.
Been wondering the same thing lately.
"Can't one be sued for discrimination for not hiring graduates of a certain college?"
Even better than not hiring a graduate from the University of Colorado would be to not send our children to such a school. I was already having second thoughts about UC because of the recent spate of alcohol related deaths of UC freshmen, so I dont see Ward Churchill as a disease infecting the UC campus but rather as a symptom of a disease infecting the administrators, staff, faculty and students of the University of Colorado.
Until the University of Colorado cleans itself up, I will not send my children to it nor will I recommend it to others. Not only do we waste our money by sending our children to such a school, we endanger them by exposing them at such an early age to unsavory people like Ward Churchill.
And like someone else, he lied about his service in Viet Nam. I forget the other guy's name...
No, just say "not qualified" and leave it at that.
BTW, your alma mater ain't a "protected status"...yet, anyway.
"The simple answer to your question is no. Education is an allowable form of discrimination.
For instance, you have two applicants who have identical degrees. One received his degree from Princeton University, and the other from Parsons. You hire the candidate from Princeton based upon the reputation of the institution granting the degree. Can you be sued? NO.
Or- both applicants have identical degrees but one has a transcript reflecting additional study in areas that would be an asset to the company you are hiring for. Can you be sued for selecting the applicant that had taken the additional courses that benefit your company? NO.
If you find that the course of study pursued by the applicant is not an asset your company needs, then you certainly have the right not to hire that applicant."
Works for me! Thanks. :-D
LOL!
LOL!
Oh, right...now what was that guy's name...?
Seems to be a defining factor of the far left wingnuts.
LOL! Funny stuff.
People like you are the reason I love this sight so very much. I love the learning process.
What's wrong w/ this picture ?
He doesn't have a Ph.D. For some reason that was not considered vital in his field (ethnic studies). He claims to have an M.A. from Sangamon State University (which has since become the University of Illinois at Springfield).
I am amazed at the people who sput crap that they hate the USA and all that it stands for, but for some reason continue to live, work, eat and sleep here.
Slow down, there, buddy.I watched the speech he gave at the college, and the students seemed a whole lot brighter than Churchill.
Churchill went to great lengths to explain that in his "Eichmann remark",he was referring to the technocrats, not the food service employees, janitors, firefighters, cops, passers by,etc(his beloved working class). One student said the he doubted that any of Churchill's students were studying to become janitors or food service employees,i.e.,Churchill was calling his students future Eichmanns."That's your choice",he lamely replied.
Another had been in a Columbus Day parade, which Churchill and his group protested.Free speech does not include celebrating genocide,Churchill said.I have a ninth amendment right(!!!)not to be subjected to speech I don't like.
I wonder if I have a ninth amendment right to be free of his nonsense.
This should be required reading for every college student (and every HS Senior heading for college).
That student who observed that students at CU were not likely to become janitors seemed to be a brave conservative who expected most of the crowd to be on WC's side, or maybe I was just reading that into his demeanor.
That was my take,too.
