LOL
I just met a young lady and our first phone conversation was long and wonderful. Her first email to me a few days later asked me if I was dumping her since I didn't call her again the next night. (Dumping? We hadn't dated yet.)
I explained that I was busy and had to work hard to get all my work done before going to CPAC.
She understood and responded by asking me to ask her for our first date for this weekend -- Valentine's Day.
I have avoided her proposition email and her since. The last thing that I want is a first date on Valentine's Day or someone that pushy.
Egads! But I have to say that I feel sorry for her being so insecure.
You are a wise man!!!
Think that's bad? When I was a cop in Dallas, the southeast precinct flooded after a major rain and was inaccessible, so I partnered with a chick, er, policewoman from the central division. After a few hours the waters receded and I wanted to get my own car. She asked me if I was dumping her!
Whew - she is running a little fast, eh?
Here's a little test of where her heart and head are ... ask her what she thinks of Dr. Laura. :-)
Yikes. Good move.
I read Joshua Harris' book "Boy Meets Girl" and liked a lot of his ideas.
I now am against casual dating just to date. For me personally, I try to become friends first, and if there is something there, then I will pursue a type of courtship that is like dating except without all getting all clingy to eachother too early.
It definitely is a lot better than putting all this money down the drain on dating that turns into nothing.
