Seems kind of silly to be arguing so strongly when this is not the state in which you reside. IMHO the jury is still out on Arnold. He has no political capital to back him up. We all know McClintock's record and where he stands. His time is coming as his name recognition is so much better now. If you knew the inside workings of CA politics, you would discover that McClintock is NOT on the outside looking in. He is still in favor with the CRP.

And isn't Arnold now adopting Tom's ideas for the state (according to Mark Williams)?

Yes, he has, because reality does have a way of rearing its ugly head.

McClintock has been both consistent and rather patient considering the way he has been mischaracterized as "stiff necked" for preferring confrontation with the Democrats. I predicted at that time that it would be at least a year before Arnold would start to learn reality and where the bodies were buried. It's taken longer than that and has cost us an unnecessary $15 BILLION in debt.

RE: Tom and ideas. A point many seem to overlook...how convenient.

The Governor, as in his movies, relies on others for ideas, he is the mouthpiece and "Star', nothing more.

He could take some lessons from Reagan.

PS,, Bashing Indians seems to be a prevailing theme for a certain person, maybe their's a Vegas casinos bent to his madness. ;)

What was he running for?

Various representative positions over the entire term.

Ambassador to Choctaw Nation?

No, as a representative of a district containing a Chumash reservation.

On the economic/Socialist front. He's always been a fiscal conservative, not so conservative on the cultural side. But hey, it's just as important to prove the successfulness of free enterprise and small government and the failure of collectivism whenever we can.

Please demonstrate how Arnold has been a fiscal conservative. (Hint: Swiping local government revenues, forcing them to increase taxes and fees to in order to SAY that he didn't increase taxes, doesn't count.)

I'll take progress over perfection any day....I like Arnold for what he is trying to do.....I may not agree with some of his social views but I'm not a one issue voter and I think he gets it......too long now we have been screwing around with the status quo and if he can energize the state then more power to him......sometimes (not you) I think the RINO term can be overused.......I like indedpendent thinkers to shake things up and not follow the old tired lines.....

Wow thanks interesting, particularly the Stem cell issue. Disturbing.

He hasn't solved California's problems but the constitution should be changed for him to run this country? Not!

You know, at this point I couldn't care less who is addressing the issue of government-out-of-control, the GOP, RINOs, Dems, Libertarians, or Martains, for that matter.

JC, you have to understand there are factions in this country and in the state of California that hate Arnold and will give him absolutely no credit. The man could resurect Ronald Reagan and they would say 'what took you so long you liberal RINO'. To me they're just sore losers. The bottom line, like you said, is progress. These folks can't stop living in yesterday, while today is passing them by.

almost all of Arnold's initiatives that he supported won in the election

On false pretenses. He never "cut up the credit cards," he forced tax increases on local government, and he hasn't cut spending.

and he denied illegals a drivers license

This is not true either. He precluded a referendum on SB60 by signing a veto-proof bill from the legislature. He has continued to negotiate with Cedillo to GIVE driver licenses to illegals, albeit with security measures that Cedillo has refused to accept.

......you may not agree with him on some issues but he has already accomplished some things........in Calif,

This is his record. Are you willing to accept that?

Look, I was willing to accept a lot less than I wanted in Arnold, but so far, he hasn't lived up to what was promised at all.

I'll take progress over perfection any day

So will I. Arnold is neither.

Disturbing.

What is most disturbing is the disparity between what he espouses in front of Republicans and what he actually does.
