I have to say, seeing the gates blowing in the wind, it looks better than I thought it would.

Though I was opposed to the idea, I'll admit that I thought the Gates by themselves looked neat. The way they followed the gentle curves of the walkways and snaked through the Park was actually quite beautiful, and the bare frames seemed appropriate among the bare trees.

The fabric OTOH is too opaque and overpowering for me. There's so much of it that now the installation looks like it's trying to steal the spotlight away from the beauty of its surroundings rather than showcasing and blending appropriately with it.
