Mr. Rogers has retired after he was accused of molesting a muppet and he has to stay registered with Sesame Street Authorities.

Uh-oh. If the media calls him a moderate...

(I seem to remember Kerry, Dean, and even Dennis Kookysnitch being called conservatives.)

>> Just before the governor's announcement Friday, a spokesman for Núñez said his house did not intend to consider the nominee until Shelley actually leaves. That's when a 90-day timeline for legislative action begins, the spokesman said. <<

Right, better to have no Secretary of State than to leave a moderate Republican with a few extra days to do his job. We wouldn't any legislative action, until the timetable is up, would we?

It must be a slow day, huh? LOL.

I'm busy reading the history of the Southern Pacific. No "L's", only "R's"

Interesting history:

Railroad crossing without any cars...
Can you spell that without any r's???

Besides, you should "Be Specific! Ship Union Pacific!!"

Yes, even Hiram Johnson hit it big by catering, pandering, sucking up to "the people" with that tired old populist tirade of "eat the rich," (should read productive) by taking on those hideous, awful, greedy capitalistic railroads.

Nobody thinks about the obvious fact that if those rotten railroading greedy capitalists hadn't done what they did... There wouldn't have been much or many of "the people" around these parts to cater to, pander to, or possible for some direct dimocrazy politico to even suck up to!!!

But that's just the way I see it and I'm sure most others see it differently. But I think it's ironic that his love for old Europe's Switzerland style direct dimocrazy had been run totally into the ground in this state after Prop 13! Now it seems it's about the only way out of the mess it got us into... What a shame!

Why are we forever trying to fix what isn't broken?

Yeah... It's a slow day... and another day without a conservative Governor with a conservative legislature governing my favorite state of the union!!! We need a "Conservative Contract with California!"
