This resignation would have never happened three years ago. The Internet is an all-seeing eye. The spin stops here.

He quickly backed off the remarks, explaining that he meant to distinguish between journalists killed because they were in the wrong place where a bomb fell, for example, and those killed because they were shot at by American forces who mistook them for the enemy. "I never meant to imply U.S. forces acted with ill intent when U.S. forces accidentally killed journalists, and I apologize to anyone who thought I said or believed otherwise," Jordan said in a memo to fellow staff members at CNN

So I guess the liar "huffed and puffed, and blew his own house in".......Still lies when quitting (hmmm...why would he quit?)...What a sorry excuse for a man.

Jordan said he believed that several journalists who were killed by coalition forces in Iraq had been targeted. The word "targeted" means intent to kill. He knew exactly what he was saying and no amount of double-speak will convince me that he was doing anything other than attempting to tarnish the reputation of the US military, Secretary Rumsfeld, and President Bush.
To: JesseJane
Now he'll write a book and go on a speaking tour about what a victim he is.

Did he have to quit because nobody was man enough to fire him? He'll probably get a better paying job at CBS or become "Scream'n" Dean's speechwriter.
To: JesseJane
How long before someone criticizes FR for this, calling it 'censorship' and 'another example of Bush controlling the media" ?

"Don't let the freakin' door hit you in your lying ass on your way out you SOB coward."
I feel a little bit better now....So when does CBS hire him?

DU and DailyKos smear Jeff Gannon and threaten his family and he resigns. But who besides a few on the internet have heard of Talon news?
The "right-wing" bloggers take down the Chief News Executive of CNN on the truth of what he said.
We won this round.
