I kind of shoved this whole story aside because his comments were just too stupid to even think about. I haven't really followed any of the threads about it, so excuse me if this has already been discussed previously, but isn't this the same guy who ignored known atrocities by Saddam Hussein and failed to report them just so they'd be able to keep the CNN office in Baghdad?

I have bad memories of CNN. I remember not too long ago CNN reporting that Saddam got 100% of the vote, without a hint of irony. They also perpetuated the idea that it was sanctions led by America, and not Saddam, who killed Iraqi babies, which was part of propoganda campaign which would have killed the sanctions and allowed Saddam to re-start his WMD programs if we hadn't stepped in and liberated Iraq.

So it's not just that the CNN folks are jerks; they are dangerous jerks.
