Did anybody else see this program and see these possibilities emerging from the questions?

But don't all people, everywhere, want to live in freedom? No, they don't. I disagree with this statement. It is patently false and contrary to the nature of man.
The statement could be corrected and rephrased as such "Don't all people, everywhere, want to get off their duff and live in freedom?" Then, the answer is correctly, "No".

Derbyshire is conservative and a very smart fellow, a mathematician by training I believe. I saw him last on C-SPAN on a panel discussing Tom Wolfe's novel "I am Charlotte Simmons." It was a sharp panel, and he was probably the sharpest blade in the pack.

Derb is one of my favorite writers, and intellectually impressive. But I totally disagree with his stance on this subject.
Too bad that TV/radio shows don't have him on to talk about other things, like immigration and the value of assimilation, the importance of the traditional family, and other topics.
