Intellectually studies like this should be held as an explanation for why men and women are attracted to certain field. Not at all a limitation.

Some fields do have gender barriers, such as nursing. A man can be an excellent nurse.

The only thing I have a problem with

That's not simply gender, that's throwing away objective requirements for political reasons. If you've got a woman who can carry a 300 lb person...great. ...As long as there are enough of them so that their very rarity isn't a problem.
