Dear Freepers, I realize this is an old article but the point is, is that if you can keep a Pete Rose out of the baseball HOF then you should be able to keep a John F. Kerry out of the Oval Office for "pitching" his medals. Pete was in it for the money while Kerry was in it for the political capital.

My beef with Baseball is that they can forgive drugs, steroids, they can forgive spitting in an Umpires face, but they cant give Pete Rose what is due him.

Every record made in the last ten years is under suspicion of the Steroid problem, who actually broke a record without the use of steroids? But yet they cant have Pete making a bet. Its time they got over it. They and the writer of this article believe Pete hasnt gotten on his knees enough for them , hasnt kissed their asses the proper amount yet.
