I watched O'Reilly and he mentioned it too.
He also had a genuine American Indian professor on too, who said that he was promoting pro-US views and patriotism and he was dismissed, while Ward Churchill is inciting violence against the US and is being kept and paid.
I wish I remembered the name of this very intelligent, very reasonable professor.

There is a fellow with the name of David Yeagley (I think) who may be the one you're thinking of... he at least used to write for David Horowitz's Front Page Magazine website. He may have his own website by now. He is or was teaching in Oklahoma, etc.
I saw O'Reilly too and heard the Native American Indian professor speak, but I also forgot his name.
He was reasoned and objective and his obvious patriotism took some of the sting off the Ward Churchill mess/story. I hope Churchill will be fired soon.
