Nonaresa Montgomery was found guilty by a jury late today of perjury in a trial in St. Louis Circuit Court in the St. Louis vote fraud trial. She was found not guilty of evidence tampering.

Judge David Mason gave her a two-year suspended prison sentence in an agreement that waived a jury recommendation of ger penalty.

The judge added conditions that included community service work in which she would help young people understand how to properly register to vote...

...

On tape, Montgomery admitted taking from 1,000 to 1,200 voter registrations to the St. Louis Board of Elections on Feb. 7, 2001, just before the mayoral primary. Workers there launched an investigation after noticing that among the new voters was longtime Alderman Albert "Red" Villa, who died in 1990.

She was convicted for turning in ILLEGAL VOTER REGISTRATIONS and her sentence is to "help young people understand how to properly register to vote"??!!!!

Am I wrong, or is there something wrong with this picture!

Makes you wonder what sentence the judge would pass on a pedophile.

Let's make sure she's not serving that community service time on the grave yard shift!

If she'd been convicted of DUI, this judge would have sentenced her to teach kids how to drive. St. Louis "justice", I guess.

So they convicted her of vote fraud, and the only punishment was to keep registering people?

LOL! I thought the same thing, except mine was:

Does this judge sentence burglars to teach people how to pick locks?

The article doesn't mention Montgomery's political party affiliation. Any bets?

Bear in mind this is St. Louis.

Biggest "little" corrupt town west of the Mississippi.

Dead men get elected here.

Wow, justice is served. Not. Let her community service involve cleaning out horse stalls or something more useful.

No, the next guy is up for vote fraud AND attempted murder!

He's an official in E. St. Louis. He tried to contract for a witness to be offed. Only problem, the hit man was wired.

So the judge will probably sentence him to teaching young voters proper gun safety.
