Dr. Z was also in the custody of Egypt and he was let go as well - so Mubarak is no responsible for Sadat's death as well?

Nope. The Bin Ladens disowned Osama long ago. He brought shame on their entire family, and they want nothing to do with him. I watched a special on tv where several family members openly expressed their wish that he be caught and put to death.

Seeing how they "caught" Dr. Z without papers, traveling to Russia accompanied by a Chechen, not to mention the fact that they took possession of his laptop (with all kinds of damning information on it)...I'd say the circumstances were a might wee different in this case, don't you think? BTW, I say "caught" above because I have a snaking suspicion he was on his way to a prearranged meeting with the KGB. His capture and six month "detention" would be perfect cover for such a meeting (although, I can't prove it...at least not yet).
