What is the attraction of the XM radio? I don't have one, a couple of friends do. I enjoy my CD changer as much as listening to the XM. There must be something to it. Maybe I just don't fit the profile.

The attraction is: programming worth listening to.

High-profile AM talk show hosts aside, there is little worth listening to on commercial radio, particularly when it comes to music stations.

XM offers a wide range of music, with huge playlists, that make listening enjoyable again. Plus Fox News and the MLB thing just sweetens the pot.

No, I'm not a subscriber yet, but will be as soon as I buy a new vehicle.

1) No commercials

2) Any sporting event no matter if you are in that teams "market/city/state"

3) National News

4) Any music you want, without lame DJ's

I have XM and primarily listen to blues and jazz.. I used to listen entirely to cd's also.. but I never found anything new to listen to, and radio is a wasteland.. XM gives me access to new talent..

I think XM is great.. and I chose it over Sirius cause I didn't want any money going to npr...
