Yup. and Afghanistan. They were so sure that it would be another Soviet-type failure...or British type failure. Afghanistan was invincible!!!!
Don’t doubt for a minute that war with Iran would be hell short of nuking them. But there are many better ways to skin a mullah by reminding every Iranian family of their loved ones killed by the regime. We got to get Iranian people angry, do what we did via CIA in 53 and 79, and hopefully for the last time.
