Just like California. Let the people vote it in, but then don't implement the will of the people. Almost makes voting completely pointless.

So the passing of which had the point of what?

Don't know the politics of Goddard but this sounds like the foot dragging typical of someone opposed to these reforms. These people are able to come up with any number of reasons why it can't be done - Never any help in actually implementing the will of the people.

And people wonder why more and more people are ignoring the opportunity to vote.

This is just a tongue-n-cheek remark but why do Indians get to vote in US elections anyway? I thought they were a sovereign people?

He said the problem is especially acute for Native Americans living in rural areas who cannot produce what Brewer said is necessary. Produce what?? WHAT THE "L" DOES HE THINK NATIVE MEANS??What a load of crap! The Native Americans have been here forever, and have I.D's and "gasp" even VOTED in this past election! If they didn't vote, they why do we know that they predominently vote Democrap! How the "L" does Goddard think the Native Americans get their government checks every month??? They have ID!

He said the problem is especially acute for Native Americans living in rural areas who cannot produce what Brewer said is necessary. Why is it that Native Americans can't produce ID and proof of citizenship (birth certificate).
If they are not capable of self governance, maybe we should take away the reservation and force them to join the 21st century.

So now all of a sudden those "brown skinned" looking folks from down south of the border will now become indians in order to vote since they can't produce identification (and with no ID how you prove they aren't indians). Wow, what a brilliant plan Mr. A.G. I bet MALDEF sort of didn't help you along just a little bit on yer decesion here.
