"It's horrible, nobody has heard our side,"

*sniff* *sniff* I really feel bad for you. Perhaps I should send over some cookies to assuage your pain...

This happened to me somewhat at work years ago. I had a couple of boxes of Girl Scout cookies and wanted to stop eating them. So I divided them up and sent batches via interoffice envelopes to a number of people in the office. One woman proceeded to go into a melodrama about thinking that someone was trying to poison her.

Duh. I am sure it is pretty scary to have someone repeatedly banging on your door late at night. However, you can call the cops and then get some sleep!

Duh to the girls too...I can't help but feel that there was a bit of mischief in their hearts....hence banging on people's doors late at night with six measly cookies. Brats. If I were their parents I would have read them the riot act. They could wind up dead if they scare the wrong house.
