I am glad the kid is getting his dog back.

Its too bad this had to happen, When a man finds a stray dog and buys a special shipping container and has that dog shipped hundreds of miles by air and spends hundreds of dollars on shots and vet bills he certainly has no intention of returning that dog to its owner, nor of giving it to some mystery nun.

I am so glad about the happy ending, but I am still mystified by this story. Why did this guy do these things? If he wanted a dog, he could go to the shelter and get one for himself. It just struck me as so bizarre that he went to so much trouble to get, transport, and keep this particular dog, spending a lot of money in the process. I just don't get it... why was he so adamant about keeping this particular dog?

I agree, the lawyers story had no credibility. You don't take a dog from Florida to Chicago at considerable expense, unless you plan to keep it. JERK!
