Should that same logic apply to Michael Jackson and molesting young boys?
Do you really think that behaving badly in a marriage--through lack of affection and cheating, not through physical abuse--is really the same as abusing children? Child abuse is a crime, which is why Michael Jackson is in a courtroom; treating your wife shabbily because you never loved her in the first place is terrible, but not actionable in a criminal court.
I actually do think that the comparison to MJ has some merit, because both he and Charles were raised in extraordinarily screwed up environments that led them to lack anything resembling common sense. I do not hesitate to declare MJ's crimes a lot worse than Charles's.
