Kind of like many of your statements, such as this one from Decemeber:
A case could be made that more devastation to U.S. interests could result from the China/Taiwan scenario than the Castro 1962 scenario, once all the dominoes stopped falling.
Failuer to turn in your thesis got you an F on that one, remember? Or are you still formulating your case?
You have a problem with FACTS.
FACT: Inflation's IRR the last two years has been 2.57%.
FACT: NASA's IRR of funding 2002-2006 (FY) has been 2.20%, and that make sit LESS than inflation's 2.57%, or a REAL cut in funding.
FACT: Compared to Education funding with an IRR of 8.36% that is way over inflation, your ridiculous statement seems all the more farcical.
You babble on with your opinion--I state FACTS.
Re Cuba/China/Taiwan:
My quote was "A case could be made that more devastation to U.S. interests could result from the China/Taiwan scenario . . ."
You have a problem with grammar:
(1) I said a case COULD be made . . . The key word is COULD.
(2) I said "COULD result . . ." The key word once again is COULD.
(3) If the COULD did happen, . . .
[a] Targeting technology is far more accurate than in 1962. [b] China could wreck more devastaion on us than Castro could in 1960. [c] Population centers of potential American target cities are larger today than they were in 1962. [d] Financially, the world is far more global and intertwined now than in 1962. [e] Russia is the wild card and could be an added negative to this scenario. [f] I said "devastation to U.S. interests . . .". The financial devastation and potential loss of life from a nuke war with China over Taiwan, including possible Middle -East, Russian, and N. Korean (and possible Iranian nukes in the mix) invlovement COULD make this far more potentially destructive than Cuba launching a handful of ICBMs (with questionable targeting accuracy) at some U.S. cities.
Your failure to understand this is a great commentary on the limitations of your reasoning ability.
A good synopsis has ben prepared for you.
See post #22. You do not need to download 400 pages.
The bottom line? This Bush budget screws NASA once again.
It took you six weeks to come up with that? You should write science fiction. You live it.
No, it took me a few minutes. The six weeks just proves how unimportant you are to me.
