Running State is not the same running a state. She has never been elected period. Don't get me wrong. I like Condi - for Senator from California! To have her defeat DiFi would be the greatest. Then maybe President.

Glad to hear you say this.
I have brought the same point up several times. Condi is a jewel in the making. but , she needs to have won an elected office.

The last Republican I can think of who did not run for any office at all and was elected Potus, I believe, was Eisenhower.

Condi is brilliant but she really needs to win an office on her own, any office, anywhere and then its VP or Pres.

Look at what Hitlery did. Even she realized she had to win somewhere as arrogant as she is.

So you like Hillary in 2008? Maybe she will send you a picture of herself and a thank you letter.

I tend to agree, but Condi is currently exercising her duties at the pleasure of the president so we don't know her positions on many issues. Also, Before she can be considered for president she needs additional national and international exposure; even though she carries herself quite well on the national stage she needs some miles under her feet and a few battle scars.

Some big international wins as Sec State will go along way to bolstering her credibility but she needs some practical political and management experience.

Would I vote for her? If she's all she seems to be, I sure would. 2008? maybe not.

Would you have voted for Dwight Eisenhower? He was never elected to any office either.

I personally do not see it as a prerequisite.

Senators running for president is a losing road map.
