I don't know what to make of this. He claims it was an innocent mistake---let's hope so.

From everything I have heard, Hakeem was and still is a very nice guy and it isnt just a front or anything with him.

I will give him the bene of the doubt at the moment, but we will see....

If I give money to a synagogue, I expect some of the funds may end up in Israel.

If I give money to a Roman Catholic church, I expect some of the funds could go toward counseling women not to have abortions.

If I give money to a mosque...

Agreed....I'm having a difficult time believing he knew NOTHING. There are a lot of people on another thread defending this guy, saying he's "not that kind of muslim". I hope they are right and I'm wrong.

Hakeem probably has very little to do with his own money. Think of all the other athletes we read about...

It's more important to look to his advisors and financial consultants.

Since Olajuwon is the voice of Cookie Monster, I suspect he was led astray by psycho jihadist Bert.

He has always been a decent guy. I remember him saying that Muslims should respect the local customs when some Black Muslim basketball player refused to stand for the national anthem.

When people go from being Robert Taylor or Michael Hastings to Mohammad Al Qaida or Jaweed Al Jihad Muhajadeen, there is no telling how far the insanity will take them.

I'll be giving Olajuwon the benefit of the doubt.

Whatever happened to that story about Bowlmoor Lanes? How do we all know if we aren't contributing to terrorism. People make mistakes.
