Ok it seems you are hung up on one quote, but what about the subject of the question.

The problem is, the quote in question was false. The journalist did not do his fact checking. I don't care if you are MSM or new media, that is a big no-no.

Which was that the democrat leadership basically are saying the economy is in the toilet, while saying social security is fine. Is the above false or a good description of the current democrat talking points.

Nice try their dirt, but you and I know that the current rhetoric of the democrats is that the economy is in the toilet, but social security is fine, is true, and that was what Jeff Gannon's question addresssed.

Not comparable. Gannon's sin was on a much lower scale. Reid did, in fact, speak of the economy in dire terms and would not dispute that fact himself.
