the financial times is a liberal source?
How 'bout a source that doesn't lean so far left its falling over?
More two-step.
The left talking point is this:
"The right wing is controlling the news and thus your mind...that is how they have won (mind control)..This goes on to include all the Nazi bs..They have bought the media and the evil genius Rove is behind it
I went back through his posts (that ol' fact-checking thingy). A rather odd mix at times, especially his notion that there should not be a ceiling on FICA, but he also has some views that could be construed as paleo or libertarian. Nothing that gives a strong troll indication. So I think his posts should be debated on their merits, or lack therof, especially since his claim that Gannon used a bogus quote was substantiated.
More two-step. (And how long did it take you to find FT? Hmmm?) Tell us which site you wanted to post the audio from. Tell us.
That is so funny! I noticed how the next 4 posts were pulled, too.
note: The talking points are those of the left (not woofie)
Yet he was tight-lipped about where he grew up and wouldn't even tell his own age?
Doesn't pass the smell test, IMHO.
There's no reason to give Gannon a free pass when we know the inside poop on Dan Blather, Helen Thomas, Rush Limbaugh, O'Reily, Kudlow & Kramer, the Clymer idiot, etc. etc. etc.
For being supposedly "independent", Gannon was pretty doggone spineless under scrutiny.
not true...
I said no "journalist" should have a white house press pass if their primary source is another commentator..
You shouldn't just listen to the radio and make stuff up to ask a question. No reporter in your local town would dare report on another reporters reporting unless its the story itself i.e. rathergate.
I asked one onetime about this and they get offended to use other peoples work without citing it.
I checked the posts, too. Do you not find it strange that a libertarian would be opposed to Social Security reform?
Wow. I haven't seen a post from you in years! How's it going?
Reading comprehension might be a good thing.
They were reporting that Rove was going to basically head the NSA!!!! And three other organizations.
Brit Hume reported on the MSM's mistake last night. But it's obvious you don't listen to FNC.
I'm not saying the dude is consistent. Like I said, his views are an odd mix. And he's giving plenty of stuff to debate and refute on this thread. But he WAS correct that Gannon used a bogus quote and didn't fact-check - which is not a good thing, no matter what side of this fight you are on.
Regarding the more significant allegations, I will wait for more information.
I agree he is spineless under this scrutiny and his reporting was amateurish. Of course, I love amateurish and biased reporting. It's more honest than what we have now. But he acted on his own and you accused him of, essentially, receiving a GOP check.
Thuis was the post on DU that upended Jeff Gannon. If true, does not reflect well on him. However, as we will probably never know, we should thank him for his service and carry on the fight. . . .
"The blogosphere has dug up some really really really creepy stuff about that pseudo-reporter with the pseudonym who the White House lets ask all the softball questions about their briefings. His pseudonym is Jeff Gannon, and well, the folks at DailyKos, and Eschaton, have been doing a little digging around on him.
It's a long and sordid tale, but let me give it to you in a nutshell. Mr. Gannon's home page is JeffGannon.com. Well, JeffGannon.com is owned by a person and company that owns the following Web addresses as well:
Hotmilitarystud.com
Militaryescorts.com
Militaryescortsm4m.com
And for those of you who are really straight or really clueless, "m4m" is a gay online term for men who are looking to have sex with other men, and "escort" means prostitute. And being a military escort is also against the Uniform Code of Military Justice in at least two different ways, if not more.
Now, I'm not one to judge how folks like to get their jollies (assuming no children are involved and it's consensual), but then again, I don't suck up to the family values agenda like Mr. Gannon does. I've been through Gannon's archives, and it's a horrendous accumulation of religious right suck-up pieces on gay issues. Some are concerned that perhaps it's not fair to hit him with the gay card, if he is gay. Well, take a look at some of the stories from Gannon's Talon News Service: here, here, here Talon is promoting "ex-gays," defending Bush on gay marriage, and Gannon himself writing a story defending Santorum on his man-dog-sex commments about gays. There are lots more, you get the picture.
Oh, and speaking of pictures, they found photos too.

Woah, baby!"
From DU. . . Take it for what its worth.
"He wasn't a pseudo journalist. But you're a pseudo conservative."
Actually, no. There is nothing conservative about Murrymom.
Yes they have changed
In the old days, they were the nitwit Deaniacs who would rant and rave about things
I supose they could have been bought out. If I recall the owner of that site was once on Deans payroll
For the record, Gannon did not portray it as a quote. Plus, the "soup lines" quote was all over the left-wing sites and RTFP (I'm not pinging him again, he should learn to find a shorter screenname) assumed we all knew the story. This is far more indicative of trollish behavior than the opposite.
