More like Government response to pervert activism Alert...

OK let me think...

What would I rather face... the tyranny of the insane? the petty tyrants? the perverts? or government intervention on my behalf against their ever increasing demands and "punishments" if they don't get their way ...? Let me think...

I'll get back to you.

lets see here
Gay Marriage Ban is govt interference as opposed to preventative medicine against judicial activism
Higher standards in high school to make sure my kid can read and write before graduation
Tort reform to keep Drs from giving up their practices so they dont get sued
oh yes big govt is going to squash us! please this dink is just a lib hack, real govt out of control is fascist gun control laws, socialized medicine etc.

BS. Tort reform and a marriage amendment limit judicial activism without increasing the size of government. High school standards force lib teachers to focus on the 3 r's, instead of all their "touch-feely" diversity material (that's a master stroke - increase the basic skills of students and at the same time take away the operational freedom of the NEA propaganda machine). The real action will be in the next 4 budgets - if they actually decrease spending (rather than just limiting its growth) we'll eventually starve the beast.

This appears to just be a clumsy WP attempt to use conservative language to rally opposition to W's agenda.

In a clear break from Republican campaigns of the 1990s to downsize government and devolve power to the states, Bush is fostering what amounts to an era of new federalism in which the national government shapes, not shrinks, programs and institutions to comport with various conservative ideals, according to Republicans inside and outside the White House.....

They think 'federalism' is exactly the opposite of what it really means.

Headline should read:

Partisan political hacks run rampant at WP; don't know their federalism from a hole in the ground
