I can relate. There is some AFer who keeps insisting I said something that I have absolutely NO memory of saying - and I don't even believe it's something I WOULD have said (at least not the way she is presenting it...maybe she just isn't very smart and misunderstood). I was pretty creeped out when she kept repeating it on another forum over and over, like she was fixated on it, and me.
Even though I don't remember saying this thing (nor do I remember ever talking to her before she was banned here), whatever I DID say must have really gotten under her skin.
Kind of pathetic, really.
I think of a line from a film - 'when you're smart, people need you.'
When they're trying to assasinate your character, you must be doing the right thing!
