I've lately wondered if there is any link between the scandals plaguing the Catholic Church in Massachusetts and the fact it tolerates such "Catholics" as Kerry and the Kennedys.
Uh, brainfreeze?
Try brainDEAD!
I don't know about Kerry, but it is said that The Ol' Sot "brings home the bacon" for the state of Massachussetts.
It all boils down to money in the end...
Boston won the World Series and the Super Bowl. Aside from that, they haven't done much to speak of in about 200 years.
Clinton and Schumer?
Boxcutter and Feinstink?
The cancer is rampant. Too long of a list, throw in the RINO's and you have the only flaw in the Constitution. The Senate.
Massachusetts is, except for the governor's office, a ONE-PARTY state, in every legislative branch, i.e., at both the state and Federal level.
So, like all one-party government systems, once one attains power, you hold the seat for life.
Kennedy has been in the office since the JFK presidency. Kerry took his seat upon the death of Paul Tsongas. It's only upon death (or voluntary retirement) that these seats are opened.
Pretty much he same holds for every congressional seat.
Now -- isn't that special!

Money! Its all about Money! No big mystery.
I agree that there is a definite link. Garbage in, garbage out.
Hello Everyone. I'm from Boston, my family is here and has been for many generations. The elder members of my family seem to think all Kennedys can do no wrong and this has to do with the whole Irish Catholic issue. Boston was once a solid Irish Catholic city - mostly working class. There is still a huge number of us here in Boston. Everyone of my grandparents had nightmare stories about working for the Yankees. Every grandparent had even worse stories they related from their parents. The Kennedy's were for the most part the first Catholics to travel within the Yankee circle, do well financially and even outperform the old Boston Yankee families. These people were overjoyed when JFK was elected. All of this is firmly and proudly remembered and passed down to younger generations.
The Democratic machine in Boston for years was run by the Irish. They handed out jobs and favors at such a rate they damn near bankrupted the city. But the lesson for the Irish and all recent arrivals was that the Democrats provided. While the citizens of my city and state have changed over the years its basily the same system - the Democrats ' provide '. The endless lesson to one and all of the Commonwealth: ' the Democrats are for the people while the Republicans are the evil rich trying to bend you over '.
As for Kerry he always passed himself off as a nice Irish Catholic local boy and Ted Kennedy always assured us he was.
The "Kennedy Curse" is not that young Joe, Jack and Bobby were killed so young, but that Teddy has lived so long.
The amazing thing is that the Catholic myth of Kerry and the Kennedys continues.
They're as much Catholic as I'm Muslim - and, let me assure you, I'm not.
Has to be something in the water. Two hundred years ago (plus a few) they produced patriots. Now, well we all know what they produce now.
And don't forget MA's faggadocious representative, Bahney Fwank...
PRICELESS
You mentioned Kennedy and Kerry, but don't forget... how do you also explain sweetpea left-winger Bawney Fwank from the People's Republic of Massa-two-shits?
