It's understandable that McNabb's teammates would back up their QB no matter what. Nothing however excuses the mediocrity of his performance.
Roethlisberger was asked about his own physical probems and merely answered the questions. And with that he sloughed off questions about his bad thumb and ribs.
It seems like a lot of people forgot that Roethlisberger was still only a rookie. I though he played very well in the second half against the Pats but the Steeler defense just couldn't make a big stop when they needed to.
