One thing that is interesting --- the Mexican government has it's army all over the border (while the open borders types exclaim we can't militarize the border). They do look for the OTM's --- and the OTM's do not want to be caught by the Mexican army --- apparently they are not treated very well -- so they will often get to the Chiapas/Oaxaca area and buy fake Mexican documents. They make the mistake of buying only the birth certificate and maybe a Mexican drivers license which can get them caught because there's one more important document that Mexicans carry that they don't always know about.
I guess they have it made if they make it through Mexico -- they have to pose as Mexicans in order to through there, but then they can revert to being what they are and not be sent back.

But turning loose 30K OTM's a year in TX (only), sure makes me wonder how many in all border states, yearly.....and if they are all simply turned loose on a *promise* to appear.

Hey Fitz,
Good post. I was not aware that the Mexican army came down hard on OTM's Is that happening currently?
BTW, you sure seem to be very knowledgeable about the Mexican govt. Where do you get all your info?
