I no longer belong to the leftist AARP I can afford to stay in a motel without their discount, and their left wing agenda sucks. Ditto for the same reasons except I never joined.
Their latest attack on the presidents plan to fix SS is just another example of their dedication to leftist policy.

My husband has been getting applications to join AARP for the past few years and has refused to join.
He's 54 and wants no part of this group! When he gets home tonight I'm going to show him Mr. Linkletter's website.

My wife and I do travel a bit and when the AARP first sent their crap to me I thought we should join not only for the discount at Motels , but because we thought they were a watchdog agency for older Americans.
Boy has my attitude changed.
The AARP decides what issues to bring up and there is no input from members. Its a leftist organisation, but members get absolutely no input.

However, I have found that if you ask for a Senior discount at a Motel you will frequently be given a discounted rate. AARP takes credit for something that you can successfully negotiate for yourself!
