I STILL want to know why no one questioned the Priest taking this child out of the class room all the time. I went to Catholic school from k-12 and believe you me...NO ONE (not even a Priest) took anybody out of our classroom much less as often as this guy did. Someone was LAX and in this case I would say the Sister should have questioned the Priest as to why he was removing this kid so often and if she didn't want to question the Priest she should have told the Mother Superior. SOMEONE should have looked out for this boy. SOMEONE failed this child and in this case it was the Sister for not speaking up (unless she did and was silenced) and then of course, the pedophile low life who committed these atrocities on this young man. Now he can have closure. Now the pedophile can have whatever the system dishes out to him I personally don't care. I care about the child. God bless him.
I understand what you're saying, but think about it. Who would've ever thought (back then) that a priest would do something like this? Even if someone asked Shanley, he could have made up some lie that sounded plausible, and he would've been believed. We trusted these people. Now we know trust only goes so far. I just wish these perverts hadn't brought the Church into their scandalous ways. I also wish that the church hierarchy didn't turn a blind eye once they learned of the allegations. That's the way an ostrich handles its problems.
They don't like pedo-de-filers in prisons. Most don't last too long.
